i'm just thinking aloud- only instead of outloud its on paper. all the same really.

((anytime i edit poems or proses i always loose the text itself, so its been moved to the description.))


Glory

What is left of glory-
if it ever did exist?
can it be in poverty-
or only fiscal bliss?
What is left of glory-
did it die with the fall of Rome?
Is it in an army-
or a soldier who stands alone?
Is there ever really glory
with no adventure and no pain?
If there's nothing left to danger
then our glory is only feigned.

i can never use rhyming in my poetry either, though its simply b/c i dont like it. but this works. simple and direct. lovely.

Lol and I thought I'd find the good poet before the good poet found me, great rhyme scheme here, clever use of language. I can only get through my emotions for the most part, I love it. :-) (Smile)

Yes, a very good writing this is another piece that induces a lot of thougt from me. Glory and freedom have become genral terms as of late.
